Why we started Aereus

Drones, satellites, radar, LiDAR — military operators today capture more data than ever before. The problem isn't collection. It's that most of that data never becomes usable intelligence in time to matter.

Reconnaissance missions generate terabytes of imagery that sit in folders. Analysts compare before-and-after photos manually. Commanders make decisions based on snapshots when what they need is a continuously updating picture of their environment. The gap between raw data and actionable understanding keeps growing — and in defence and security, that gap costs time, resources, and lives.

That's what Aereus is here to close.

What we build

Aereus is a data intelligence platform. We fuse data from multiple sensor types into a unified, persistent model of the operational environment — one that updates over time and automatically surfaces what changed, where, and when. The result is faster, more confident decision-making without the manual analysis bottleneck that slows most intelligence workflows today.

Our systems are designed to run on ruggedized hardware in forward positions. We integrate with existing infrastructure rather than competing with it — closer to an intelligence layer underneath Management Systems than another application fighting for screen space in a command post.

Who we are

Aereus is a Munich-based company founded by Álvaro Ritter and Juan Carlos Climent Pardo. We come from AI research with a focus on computer vision, but our approach is engineering-first: if it doesn't work in the field, it's not ready.

We're building the intelligence infrastructure that NATO's operational ecosystem is missing. The need is real, it's urgent, and it's growing.

Aereus is a Munich-based dual-use technology startup building AI-powered intelligence for military and security applications.
